The gamescom week traditionally started with our big opening show, gamescom: Opening Night Live with Geoff Keighley. Also 2022 was packed with news about more than 30 hotly anticipated games!

In the event arena you could dive into the world of the eSports scene & big shows and experience the unique atmosphere of the gamescom event arena among hundreds of like-minded fans!

Whether education, industry, healthcare or social coexistence - all economic and cultural areas benefit from games and games technologies. The gamescom congress showed that there is much more to games than entertainment.

gamescom cosplay village 2022 presented by YouTube Shorts

This year you could finally be part of the gamescom cosplay village live again.

You were able to slip into familiar characters, immerse yourself in popular worlds, and create unforgettable moments with YouTube Shorts.

In the course of four days you experienced a varied and entertaining program with international cosplayers, artists, music and show acts on the cosplay stage. As a highlight, the best cosplays were chosen live on stage in the cosplay contest.

The winners of the gamescom award 2022 have been determined! The jury of the gamescom award has selected the best game per category from all nominees.

gamescom city festival

The gamescom week traditionally ends with a highlight: the gamescom city festival in Cologne city centre! And this year, too, we did spray the festival feeling in the middle of Cologne from 26 to 28 August.
